With around 10000 members, the DGPPN is Germany’s largest scientific association of doctors and scientists working in the field of psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychosomatics. It gives a voice to mental health and works to ensure that people with mental illness can live free of prejudice and receive the support they need.
Membership in the DGPPN is worthwhile, as is clear from the list of its services and activities: the annual congress, numerous professional events, CME-certified further and continuing education opportunities, scientific guidelines, regular publications, targeted representation of interests, sustainable promotion of young professionals and much more – members of the DGPPN benefit from numerous advantages.
To apply for membership in the DGPPN, please complete the application form [PDF, 160 KB]. By signing the agreement you agree to be bound by the statutes of the DGPPN and to pay the annual membership fee set at the general meeting. Please send your application by fax or mail to our member services department.
The DGPPN Executive Committee reviews each membership application and decides on admission. Licensed doctors and members of other academic professions who work in the field of psychiatry and psychotherapy and have a university degree are eligible to apply. Legal entities, for example associations, may apply for cooperative membership.
If your application is accepted, we will send you a confirmation letter. The letter will also contain your login information for the premium area of the website. At the same time we will inform the publisher Springer about your membership so that you can receive the journal “Der Nervenarzt” for free.
